Jan Powers Farmers Markets

MEDIA RELEASE

WHAT’S UP NEXT AT THE JAN POWER’S FARMERS MARKETS?

Each month Jan Power invigorates Brisbane’s inner-city suburbs by bringing fresh produce and popular traders to the city for a truly unique shopping experience.

Over one hundred traders, presenting quality produce from around South East Queensland set up stalls for the renowned and bustling farmers markets.

Director Jan Power describes the vast selection of gourmet goods on offer as “a cocktail without the alcohol”.

Ranked first in Queensland for Gourmet Traveller’s Top 100 Gourmet Experiences 2010, over the last decade the Jan Powers Farmers Markets consistently presents quality produce as “simple, while at its seasonable best”.

JAN POWER’S FARMERS MARKETS:

Established in 2001, the Jan Power’s Farmers Market is primarily a colourful bustling market selling fresh farm produce, flowers, breads, artisan products, meat, fish, poultry, plants, organics – you name it.

It’s a feel good grass roots experience with a social and community slant and a lot of fun.

It is not exclusively done by, or for Farmers. It is not a Farmers Market Co-operative. There are a number of city folk selling too, and a lot of exotic products, along with special promotions, entertaining events and cooking classes conducted by chefs.

ALL ages and sects come along, from foodies, photographers and artists, to off duty policemen, publicans, plumbers and chippies, chefs, priests, actors, acrobats, mothers, couples, corporate big wigs and even your neighbours and their children. Come and meet them all there!
